This item will be shipped using a freight carrier. The item is on a pallet and is too large, and/or too heavy to be delivered to your organization by FedEx and requires the use of a freight delivery truck.
If you do not have a receiving dock – this is not a problem. All freight deliveries from NAEIR include lift gate service.
The delivery carrier will notify you one or two days prior to the delivery of the item. Someone must be available at the time of the delivery to sign for the item (and the person signing must be over the age of 18). The delivery date cannot be determined when you place your request and may take up to two weeks depending upon the distance between your organization and the NAEIR warehouse in Galesburg, Illinois.
Some freight items will be in boxes on a pallet and wrapped in plastic shrink wrap. Please count the number of boxes that are delivered and make sure that this number matches the number of boxes recorded on the delivery bill. Make a note of any differences in quantities on the bill before you sign the delivery bill.
If there is any damage to your shipment, make a note on the delivery bill – again before you sign. If there is a large amount of damage refuse delivery and contact a Membership Advocate at 800-562-0955 (press 3 to reach a Membership Advocate).
If you sign the delivery bill without noting missing items or damaged items, neither NAEIR nor the shipping company can be held responsible.
